AICE Paper 2 Written Report

What our customers said:

What we learned:

"My Paper 2 experience taught me how to effectively manage large, long-term projects with multiple different facets. I learned how to be assertive and advocate for myself and my team." -Daniella
"As I reflect on writing this paper 2, I realize the immense value in conducting thorough research, effective planning, and risk assessment when organizing a travel and tourism event. Developing a business plan for the event allowed me to identify the necessary resources, establish clear aims and objectives, and create a feasible project time plan. Additionally, incorporating a simple marketing plan and evaluation methods ensured that the event would be successful and met the needs and wants of our target audience. Overall, this experience has taught me the importance of careful planning and attention to detail when organizing events in the travel and tourism industry." -Nancy
"My paper 2 experience, more than anything else, taught me how to work together as a group under stress. In the past I had often resorted to trying to do my own thing within a group and combine it with the rest of the groups work or simply do all the work myself. However, in a project with as many intricate parts as planning a trip, this is impossible. Each person's task relies on another, it forced me to learn how to work like a gear in a well oiled machine and work towards a shared goal. It was only through the hardships and challenges that we experienced in this process that myself and my team were able to learn and grow."  -Daniel
"AICE Travel and Tourism taught me the ins and outs of the tourism industry and my Paper 2 project gave me the chance to apply what I learned and experience the entire process of holding an event. It's been a great learning opportunity!"-Aylie
"Throughout the project, one of the most valuable lessons I learned was how to evaluate resources and budget properly, finding cost-effective solutions, and how to navigate paperwork and the bureaucratic process. I gained experience in getting quotes and understanding the various health and safety risks associated with a nature trip. Another important lesson was how to be flexible and adaptable when unexpected obstacles arise and to come up with alternative plans when necessary. Meeting deadlines and improving my work ethic was also essential for the success of the project. -Julian
"Through completing this project I've learned more than I could have ever known about the service provider perspective. Experiencing all of the communication, time, and energy needed to run even a small trip successful has been quite the adventure. To anyone who is passionate about the tourism industry, I recommend you check out this course; but be warned, it's not easy." - Jonathan
